600 hours are required
Basic Training teaches the following:
Skin exfoliation techniques; concentrates, aromatherapy/essential oils, serums; European skin care techniques; limited chemical peeling; eyelash eyebrow coloring and perming; eyelash extensions; High-Frequency and Galvanic skin treatments; skin analysis; moisturizing; cleasing; face and body waxing; manual and machine techniques; moisturizing and cleansing masks; massage; extractions; acne treatments; make-up; manicures; pedicures and reflexology.
Training also includes specialty treatments:
Oxygen therapy masque; collagen masque; paraffin masque; vitamin therapy masque; spa manicures and pedicures; paraffin bath; specialty hand and foot treatments; and reflexology.
Course Length:
The Basic Esthetician Training program involves 600 hours of Esthetics training and education. This is a State of Utah regulation requirement.

Basic Esthetics Tuition: ( 600 Clock Hours ) - Please call (801) 530-0001 to talk to an admissions counselor for pricing information.
Tuition Includes:
Tuition covers theory and practical instruction using Milady’s Standard Textbook for the Esthetician, (Master Course requires an additional textbook), Theory Workbook, Practical Workbook and library, including audio/visual instructional material. State of the art equipment, Dermalogica Skin Care will be used during the practical training. (Textbook, workbook, supply kits, and handouts are included in the tuition).

Upon completion of the program & full tuition payment, the student will be awarded a Certificate of Completion and all the necessary materials and instructions needed to apply for the State Board Exam. Job-placement assistance is offered if requested at that time.
If the student is electing not to continue on with the Master Esthetics program, Skinworks will help the student prepare for both the written and practical state licensing exam.
If the student is continuing on with the Master’s program, it is not necessary to take the licensing test until finished with 1200 hours, Skinworks will help the student prepare for both the written and practical state licensing exam in the Master's program. |
